(GFOA) has formally submitted its comment on the Government Accounting Standards Board's (GASB) proposals for a new financial reporting model for government entities. In its response, the GFOA makes known that only one of the two models proposed by the GASB is consistent with the GFOA's financial reporting agenda. The GFOA also proposes several key changes that it says would improve this particular financial reporting model.
