From the supplier: Staff members of the Government Finance Officers Assn. attended the National Science Foundation's FinanceNet Summit in Dec. 1994 to see what Internet services are available for state and local governments. The goal of FinanceNet, which is part of the Clinton administration's efforts to establish an information network, is to connect public finance officers with private finance executives and the academe. The Internet Gopher Service and World Wide Web Services are probably the most promising services for public finance officers.
